When the iPhone 6S hit stores in late November, many were shocked to find it was an entirely new phone with an entirely different design.
The iPhone 6 design is the product of two separate designs, a curved slab that resembles a flat-panel phone and a more rectangular shape.
That’s the way Apple wanted it to look, according to a former senior designer who has been briefed on the design.
That means there’s a distinct lack of a physical home button on the new iPhone, a new notch on the back and the home button is positioned on top of the home screen, the former source told USA Today.
In the past, Apple’s new phones had a lot of different features and design choices, including an all-glass front and a slightly curved slab.
The new iPhone 6 has none of that.
Apple has said that the iPhone 7 will have a different design than the previous iPhone, and will look more like the iPhone 5S and 5C.
The source also said that Apple has yet to reveal a release date for the new iPhones, which is the only significant change from the iPhone 4S.
Apple says it expects to have new iPhones on store shelves in September.
